This intensive workshop is designed for people who have completed the one-day Photo Diary workshop, and want to develop their existing photo diaries over a four- week time frame.

Students share the work they have done in the previous workshop, and talk about any motivations for new images and techniques since then. We look at the work of photographers who use still images to pursue important issues, and discuss the potential social impact and benefits from making these issues visible.

Group and pair work concentrates on preparing the materials that people have brought for photo shoots, and individual cooperation is negotiated for portraits, group images or shared camera work.

A large part of the workshop is devoted to focussing attention on developing students’ new and existing projects and working together on these themes, which sometime interact with each other and promote new and spontaneous ideas.
