The teacher will bring in their professional portfolio to show the subtleties of added and available light images, and choices of lighting setups and situations will be discussed in detail with diagrams and drawings.
Students are encouraged to bring and use any of their own lighting equipment (especially flash) during the course, which is a good time to think of options for lighting equipment to buy.
Each student will be shown how to build up a series of sophisticated lighting shots, and will leave with a portfolio of the work they have shot on their own cameras.
Any 35mm or larger format camera is suitable to bring to this course, although using a digital camera is more useful than film for immediate editing and re-shooting options.
