This intensive evening course, led by James Bartholomew, is designed for serious photographers who are already familiar with their own camera equipment and the fundamentals of creative photography, and who seek professional guidance to take them to the next level, both in technique and in developing a personal style of image making.

The course covers a wide range of practical and technical requirements necessary for any photographer to reach a professional standard of work, and a degree of self-motivation is needed to get the most from this training. Weekly assignments are set within students’ individual specific goals, with the aim of producing a cohesive portfolio of high quality images.

Each student is responsible for bringing and having access to the necessary camera equipment, materials and computer hardware and software to fulfil the goals they set on the first week.

James offers a high level of individual student support, and also provides specific background support in areas of photographers, markets and genres to study, and media / material procurement designed around the needs of each student.
