Further discussions on choice of media, presentation and end use of the diaries, help to develop students’ future plans and ideas; often groups have been formed by students for meeting after the course, since the honesty and courage displayed in this environment bonds the specific group experience.
Many people see this workshop as in important tool in developing group work, as well as promoting individual self-understanding and personal growth. Group and photo production work is supervised at all times, and group dynamics are not allowed to impact on personal boundaries, integrity and effort. Mutual respect is essential for a safe environment, and is a major part of this work. However, please note that this course is not intended as actual psychotherapy, and students are requested to telephone James for an interview prior to booking this workshop.
While technical camera help is offered, it is helpful if students have a good working operation knowledge of the camera they bring (digital preferred). This is not a technical workshop. Please bring food to share for lunch.
